The orchestra undertakes a series of concerts in Salford and Whitehaven for local schools, as part of Ten Pieces, BBC Learning’s hugely successful music education scheme.
Aimed at introducing young children to classical music and helping them find their own creative voices through music, dance, digital art platforms and film.
We'll be working with local Salford school children in our Studio at MediaCityUK as well as with pupils from across Cumbria at Whitehaven Sports Centre, introducing them to some of the greatest works of classical music and how they are performed by the orchestra.
