Thumpers are London duo Marcus Pepperell and John Hamson Jr, who have been friends since childhood and were previously in bands Pull Tiger Tail and Antihero.
The pair’s pop is a result of layered vocals, synths, hearty drums and hypnotic shimmering guitars. Their most recent EP Unkinder (A Tougher Love) has seen them gain airplay across the BBC including sessions for BBC 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne and Radio 1’s Huw Stephens.
Pulling in a supporting cast of friends and musicians to up the scale of their live sound, the duo have already shared stages with Babeshadow, The Standards and Mt Wolf as well as supporting Chvrches and Everything Everything on tour.
