It's been an amazing first ever BBC Music Day with many highlights right through the day.
It all kicked off at 6am with the start of a 13 hour musical relay along Hadrian's Wall...

...the day continued with a host of special events all across the country, from Glasgow to Plymouth, from Belfast to Cardiff, and beyond, and included a record-breaking duet between Wales and Patagonia.

Performers include Sir James Galway, the Ulster Orchestra, Villagers, Andrea Begley and the Belfast Community Gospel Choir.

BBC Music Day culminates in a live gala concert from City Halls in Glasgow presented by Katie Derham and Ken Bruce, which you can watch on the Red Button or listen to on Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio Scotland and the Asian Network.
The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra is joined by an exciting cross-genre line-up of artists including tenor Noah Stewart, violinist Jack Liebeck, pop legends Lulu and Deacon Blue, Bhangra artist Jaz Dhami, Scots folk star Claire Hastings, harpist Catrin Finch and jazz pianist Jamie Cullum. They perform music with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Richard Balcombe.
