    Vital Signs, a semi-autobiographical series about Dr Dre has reportedly been axed by Apple Music over its graphic depictions of violence, sex and drug use.

    The Wall Street Journal reports Apple CEO Tim Cook was “troubled” by the series, which featured characters using drugs, scenes of gun violence and an explicit orgy scene.

    The six episode series was due to star Dre himself and actors including Sam Rockwell, The Wire's Michael K. Williams and Ian McShane.

    The actor apparently learned to play guitar, piano and sing for his role as fading rock star Jackson Maine in the new remake of A Star Is Born.

    A previously unseen video for their‘ 1978 track She’s the One has been released as part of a 40th birthday release of their album Road to Ruin.

    The video, which looks like it's been shot through an Insta filter, sees the punk icons dressed in their signature leather jackets and ripped jeans as they tear through their two minute ode to young love.

  6. Guitarist leaves Panic! At the Disco amid allegations of misconductpublished at 14:41 BST 24 September 2018

    The band - fronted by Brendon Urie - have confirmed touring guitarist Kenny Harris will no longer perform with the band,.

    In a statement on Twitter, Panic! At The Disco said Harris “will no longer be performing with us because of a personal matter”.

    According to reports, the announcement comes after allegations of sexual misconduct were made against Harris on social media.

    He is yet to respond to the allegations.

    Since 2015, Urie is the only full-time member of the group.

  7. Camp Bestival admits 'financial challenges'published at 14:29 BST 24 September 2018

    Organisers of the Camp Bestival music festival say they are facing "financial challenges" and are looking for a new partner for next year.

    Thousands of people are waiting for refunds after the annual festival was forced to close early when bad weather battered the site in July.

    The festival said the closure was not the cause of the problems but admitted it was "not a positive factor".

    They said there was "every intention" to hold the event in 2019.

    It's been a tough year for festivals with Festival Number 6 in Wales announcing this year was the last for the time being and the organisers of Womad saying due to the UK visa process it had become harder to attract foreign musicians.

    Take That announced on Friday, external they're off on a Greatest Hits Live tour next year - with support coming from Rick Astley - to mark 30 years of the band.

    Meanwhile a new 27-track Greatest Hits album, Odyssey will be released on 23 November, featuring new versions of old tracks like 1993 track Pray (below), special guests and "a couple of new ones" too.

    Bandmembers have reacted to news that a music venue in Bristol is going to play their track Africa on loop all night to raise funds for an African charity.

    DJ Michael Savage will play the US rock band's biggest hit on vinyl for "five hours straight" at The Exchange in Bristol on 30 November.

    He said people can be sponsored for how long they last.

    Steve Lukather from the band said in a tweet "this could be worse that waterboarding".

    "Imagine if you will, we cut this 1981," he added.

    "You think YOU have heard it too much? LOL".

    Drizzy was forced to cancel two gigs in Miami this weekend after falling "so ill so fast".

    "I just wanted to say how sorry I am about those two Miami shows," he told fans online.

    "I got so ill so fast and I had never experienced anything like that in my life. Unlike other show cancellations or date adjustments due to production issues, this one fell on me."

    Speaking on the Emmys red carpet last week, the 14-year-old Stranger Things actress said they were text buddies and he had recently text her saying: "I miss you so much."

    "Why u gotta make a lovey friendship ur headline? U guys are weird… for real,” she wrote on Instagram.

    “I’m lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help me further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance. I’m very blessed to have amazing people in my life.     Singer Rihanna has said she "couldn't be more proud" after being given a new ambassadorial role by the government of her native Barbados.

    The artist, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was named "Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary" for her home country on Thursday.

    The role involves promoting education, tourism and investment.

    Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley said she was honoured to confer the title.

    It was a huge night for BBC Radio 1Xtra as they celebrated ten years of 1Xtra Live by selling out London's O2 Arena on Saturday.

    The schedule was packed with performances from the biggest names in hip hop, Afrobeat and grime - including Chance the Rapper, Pusha T, Yxng Bane and Chip.

    One of the highlights was an energetic set by Kojo Funds, who brought his signature Afroswing style to the stage, performing his hits Warning, Who Am I and Check.

    He's collaborated with the likes of Bugzy Malone, Raye and Mabel, but told BBC Music ahead of his performance that there's one British artist he's got his eye on for a future project...

    "Working with Ed Sheeran would be something different, out of the box and would be good for our music and culture.

    "There's a few artists I've been working with and it's very important because you get to learn new things but also perform and display your work to a different kind of audience that's not used to your music.

    "One thing I've learnt [from working with Raye and Mabel] is to have fun - you make the best songs out of that."

    Sheeran performed alongside another rapper, Stormzy at the 2017 Brit Awards.

    The former goatherder turned novelty singer has his fitness to thank as he recovers from a stroke cause by a cerebral blood clot.

    The 47-year-old, who was a popular star on the second series of the show, fell ill on the way back from performing a gig at the weekend.

    He reached the quarter-finals of the 2005 series and had a number one in 2006 with It's Chico Time.

    A statement on his website said he is "resting and recovering very well whilst undergoing further tests".

    He is said to be "overwhelmed" by support.

    The band's Paul Epworth-produced album Delta is due out in November.

    They shared their uplifting new single Guiding Light on Annie Mac's show last week.

    "It's got a bit more real in the last couple of years," says singer Marcus Mumford of the new album.

    "Some of the issues we've faced as individuals or in the circles around us have felt pretty serious - from death to depression and everything in between.

    "I've definitely been closer to death in the last year than I've ever been."

    Manchester United fan Ashcroft closed the Sky Sports footy show with a performance of his new track, Surprised by the Joy, external, on Saturday morning.

    Masters of The Sun is set for release on 12 October.

    The band have also shared a video for the new track Big Love which comes with warning message and depicts, in graphic detail, a school shooting.

    Proceeds from the song will go to March for Our Lives, external, the student-activist movement dedicated to ending the US mass shooting epidemic.

    Writing on Twitter, Will.i.am said: "They took kids away from their parents, but they can’t take guns away from kids? We need compassion, empathy, understanding, patience, guidance, protection, collaboration, tolerance & #BIGLOVE#VOTE."

    Chas and Dave musician Dave Peacock has paid tribute to his "fabulous mate" Chas Hodges, who died on Saturday aged 74.

    "I'm going to miss him terribly," he told BBC News.

    Chas recently received treatment for oesophageal cancer but died peacefully in his sleep, external.

    Known for their rock and cockney style, Chas and Dave enjoyed the height of their fame in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as Rabbit and Snooker Loopy.

    The pair have been friends for more than 50 years, forming the band in the 1970s.

    The US metal gods' WorldWired Tour will head to Europe next summer, including two dates In Manchester and London.

    James, Lars, Kirk and Robert will perform at the Etihad Stadium on 18 June, followed by Twickenham on 20 June.

    Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10:00 am and nothing else matters.
