Dr Dre has removed a post about his daughter getting into a US university 'all on her own' following criticism over his donation to the institution.

The Instagram post was an apparent dig at celebrities, including actress Felicity Huffman, who have been charged in an alleged US college cheating scam.

"No jail time!!!!" wrote Dr Dre, whose real name is Andre Young.

He posed in the photo with his daughter, Truly Young, holding her USC acceptance letter.

He later removed the post, external following a backlash in the comments section.

The rap mogul and his business partner Jimmy Iovine gave the University of Southern California (USC) $70m, externalin 2013.

In one of the more bizarre music stories of the weekend, former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright has responded to online suggestions that he stormed the stage and pushed Grime MC Jammer during his gig at London's Printworks on Friday night.

The Boy Better Know rapper was performing at the Eskimo Dance event when he was confronted by a stage invader in a hat and shades.

Some grime fans were convinced that the imposter was Wrighty, but it seems he has about 82,000 alibis (more if you include TV viewers) to prove he was across town at Wembley.

“I have so many questions,” tweeted the befuddled Match of the Day pundit.

“How was I on stage and on TV for the England game? Why was I there? And why was I so VEX with Jammer.”

He added: “Peace. Love and Support Local Artists.”

The older Oasis brother appeared on Soccer AM on Saturday morning alongside his pals, Youth of the Apocalypse - who include members of Gorillaz and Klaxons.

We can't bring you their performance of Fire In My Mind here as, despite the early kick-off, it contained a few swear words but you can find it online if that kind of thing doesn't bother you.

Away from bashing his bro's music, Pretty Green, the fashion label set up by Liam, is preparing to appoint administrators this week - according to Sky News.

Five years on from her last solo record, US singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis, formerly of Rilo Kiley, is back with a new album.

On the Line was apparently written on scraps of paper and aeroplane sick bags - because who knows exactly when inspiration might strike?

Megastars Adele and Jennifer Lawrence surprised fans on Friday by appearing together at New York gay bar Pieces.

Videos and pictures from revellers inside the Greenwich Village bar show the UK pop singer and her US movie star pal dancing to Kylie Minogue and, in Adele's case, getting on stage to participate in a drinking game hosted by a drag queen.

When asked what she did for a living, Adele introduced herself as "a stay-at-home mum."

You can find some videos online, but beware the language as drinks had been taken.

As everybody with a social media account will know, throwbacks are usually reserved for Thursdays, But Miley Cyrus never did play by the rules.

The singer and former child actress has marked the 13th anniversary of her old Disney character Hannah Montana's screen debut by posting the above pic.

It's accompanied with the caption: "Miley at the Nashville Airport leaving for LA to become Hannah Montana!"

There's no explanation as to why the photograph, taken in 2006, is in black and white.

As tributes continue to pour in for Scott Walker, 6 Music have unearthed this beauty of a voicemail message from the late singer to David Bowie, another sadly departed star.

"Have a wonderful birthday," he's heard saying down the line via a "crappy old hand-held tape machine."

"By the way, mine's the day after yours so I'll have a drink to you on the other side of midnight."

Bowie's birthday was on 8 January, while Scott celebrated his on the 9th.

Shortly after we left you on Friday, Jack Savoretti got his weekend off to a flyer by scoring his first ever number one album with Singing to Strangers.

His sixth album shifted just over 32,000 combined sales in seven days and went straight to the top spot, so clearly he's been singing to more people than he originally thought.

Jack, who has previously sung with soon-to-be Glasto 'legend' Kylie Minogue, told the Offical Charts company: "This is my sixth album, and the thing I am proud of the most is having surrounded myself with people that have helped me make the album I've always wanted to make.

"The success of this album belongs to every single person that has worked on it."

Jack knocked rapper Dave’s Psychodrama off the top spot.

Meanwhile, Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved held on to the number one position in the singles chart for a fourth week in a row.

Actor Taron Egerton has revealed his portrayal of Sir Elton John in musical biopic Rocketman will show the star at his worst - with the singer's blessing.

Egerton said Sir Elton had been "open and candid" with film-makers about his 1980s drug addiction, setting the film apart from other authorised biopics.

"Elton essentially gave me licence to go and make him look ugly at times," the star of the Kingsman films added.

Rocketman, which also stars Jamie Bell and Richard Madden, is due out in May.

Egerton was speaking after a sneak preview of the film's highlights at Abbey Road Studios in London on Friday.

The US rapper, external has spoken about his struggle with anxiety and depression, which forced him to cancel a tour in 2018.

In a series of Instagram videos, Sean revealed that he went through a difficult period last year around his 30th birthday.

He said that around that time, he realised he was facing issues which needed "special attention" and had therapy for his problems.

"I wasn't feeling like myself and I couldn't figure out why," he said.

"I just felt lost - and I don't know how I got there."

The Dubai government has issued a rare statement denying that R. Kelly had booked gigs in the United Arab Emirates city, as the singer's legal team had claimed.

The embattled singer turned himself in to Chicago police last month after being indicted on sexual abuse charges - following revelations in the docu-series, Surviving R Kelly. He denies the charges.

As part of his $1 million bail agreement, Kelly handed over his passport but last week his lawyers filed a motion seeking permission for the cash-strapped singer to travel to Dubai via private jet to perform and meet the ruling Al Maktoum family.

However, on Sunday the Dubai media office said he “has not been invited by the Dubai royal family for a performance".

A statement read: “Authorities in Dubai have not received any request for a performance by singer R. Kelly nor are there any venues that have been booked."

Cardi last week trademarked her popular catchphrase/noise - which she described as sounding like a "cold pigeon in New York City, external" - for use on merch, including T-shirts, posters and "paper cups".

Now over the weekend, the Bronx rapper took to social media to hit back at the haters of her latest money move.

“It’s 2019 bitches - there’s a lot of ways to get rich," she declared, in an Insta' video that we can't possibly show you on here due to some rather gangster language.

“Hoes is mad because I trademark Okurrr? Let me tell you something: Every single time I go to a corporate meeting, these folks be like: ‘Oh my god, can we please hear you say Okurrr?'

"[Girl] white folks do it all the [blinking] time, so you gonna be mad at me 'cause I wanna get some [bloody] money?”

We're not mad Cardi. In fact we're drinking tea out of Okurrr paper cups right now, so please don't come after us.

Barbra Streisand has apologised after she was criticised for sympathising with Michael Jackson over child abuse accusations levelled against the late singer.

As we reported in Friday's MNL, Streisand told The Times newspaper that she believed the allegations against Jackson - made by Wade Robson and James Safechuck in the documentary Leaving Neverland - but said his actions evidently "didn't kill" the accusers.

She also blamed their parents for allowing them round to the star's house.

Over the weekend however, she wrote on Instagram that she was "profoundly sorry for any pain or misunderstanding," adding that she "didn't mean to dismiss the trauma these boys experienced in any way".

She later said in a statement that she believed the parents of the two young men "were also victimised and seduced by fame and fantasy".

Fans of the late Prodigy star Keith Flint have been invited to line the funeral procession route ahead of a service celebrating his life.

Flint, who sang lead vocals on the band's number one singles Breathe and Firestarter, was found dead at his Essex home on 4 March.

A church service for family and close friends will be held on Friday.

On Twitter, the band asked fans to line the route to the church near Braintree and "'raise the roof' for Keef!"

Since his death a host of murals have been made by fans in Keith's honour, including a latest one in Peterborough.

An estimated one million people marched in central London calling for another EU referendum on Saturday, as MPs search for a way out of the Brexit impasse.

Billy Bragg is no stranger to mixing music with politics, having led the Red Wedge movement in the mid-late 80s to oppose a different Conservative government.

He was there again this weekend, as was Mercury-nominated Nadine Shah and Fatboy Slim.

The latter was exorcising his democratic right as a warm-up before his fundraising gig at The Social; the London venue that was saved from closure last week.

Tributes are being paid to Scott Walker - one of the most enigmatic and influential figures in rock history - who has died at the age of 76.

The star, whose songs included The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore and Joanna, influenced everyone from David Bowie to Jarvis Cocker and Radiohead.

The Oxford band's frontman Thom Yorke tweeted: "So very sad to hear that Scott Walker has passed away, he was a huge influence on Radiohead and myself, showing me how I could use my voice and words.

"Met him once at Meltdown, such a kind, gentle outsider. He will be very missed."

Walker found fame as a teen idol in The Walker Brothers, but his dark baritone hinted at something deeper.

That was borne out in his experimental, psychedelic solo albums, which explored the complexities of love and death.

His death was confirmed by his current record label, 4AD, who called him "one of the most revered innovators at the sharp end of creative music, external".

He is survived by his daughter, Lee, his granddaughter, Emmi-Lee, and his partner Beverly.
