Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have released an arty new live performance video for their track Friends and Enemies.

We don't know what's more impressive; the video camera work or the combined ink work on the boys tattooed bodies.

    Tough call.

Anyway, it's the sixth single taken from their 2016 album Ellipsis and you can check it out above.

    BBC Radio 2

Okay, time to slow it down a little folks as we all cruise towards the work finish line together on this Wednesday afternoon.

Singing siblings The Staves delivered a beautiful cover of Jackson Browne's These Days for Jo Whiley this afternoon.

Smoothness personified but only after a mild pre-song panic that culminated in Camilla Staveley-Taylor accused by sisters Jessia and Emily of being "naked from the waist down".

    Luckily it's only radio.

Here's John Lennon as you haven't seen him.

It's a trailer for a new graphic novel about his final years in New York and its based on a 2010 novel Lennon by David Foeniknos.

It's been described as "true biographical fiction", which, as we all know, means...erm...

    Anyway, the drawings are pretty.

    Quote Message

This is due to scheduling conflicts beyond his control. Chance sends his apologies to his fans and looks forward to returning to Europe soon.”

Crissie Rhode and Ben Earle have gone from strength to strength since they singed their record deal in 2013.

The duo were the first ever British country act to score a top 10 album, they played a headline slot at Glastonbury last year, and are now taking their sound to the US after signing a record deal with the man who discovered Taylor Swift.

They've been sticking to home soil for the last few weeks, though, with an 11-date UK tour which culminated on Tuesday evening with a show at the London Palladium.

The prolific venue was packed out with country fans, who got to their feet as the duo took to the stage and launched straight in to Nashville Grey Skies.

The energy stayed high for songs like Drive and Jekyll and Hyde, but one of the highlights of the night was actually a cover version - a gorgeous stripped-back rendition of Robbie Williams's Angels.

Earle explained the band had rehearsed it for a BBC Radio 2 set earlier this year, but were cut short from playing it live on air when Williams, who was appearing on the same show, jokingly stopped them because their version was "too good".

The audience whooped and cheered when Chrissie championed the increasing popularity of country music in the UK, but the noise soon died down as she launched into a beautiful rendition of Daddy's Little Girl, a poignant song about her father who died when she was very young, which she dedicated to her family in the audience.

The encore gave the audience the song they've been waiting for - A Thousand Hallelujahs - and saw the evening end on a high.

If US audiences are as enthusiastic about the duo as this London crowd was, The Shires will have a very bright future across the Atlantic.
