...and you know that for sure.

John Lennon sang it, now Arcade Fire are singing it too (above) for a Chicago crowd over the weekend. Bonus points for spotting the two other massive musical reference near the end...

That's your music treat for being so good and swotting up on all of today's music news, from the likes of Adele, Ronnie Wood, Liam Gallagher, Mollie King, Taylor Swift and Fatboy Slim.

Scroll down for all of that and more, plus a host of top Wilderness acts telling us which three things they'd take to the actual wilderness. Some good advice in there.

Our own advice would be to tune into Jo Whiley's Wilderness highlights programme tonight on Radio 2 from 20:00 BST, where you will hear more from Benedict Cumberbatch on Letters and Laura Mvula (below) doing her best Nina Simone.

    Back tomorrow...

Singer-songwriter Isaac Gracie is making some waves in the industry with his guitar-led balladry which has seen him compared with the likes of Jeff Buckley and James Bay.

But speaking backstage, following his performance at Wilderness, the young artist who hails from Ealing in west London said he tried to distance himself from that type of hype.

"Whilst those things are really nice to hear and when I'm feeling comfortable some day, maybe i'll take it all in and it'll make me smile, but in reality there's a load of anxiety and pressure just being at this position because the prospects are theoretically so high and the potential is there and my ambition is there, so living up to that is like fear."

    He adds:

    Quote Message

There's a numbness that I think you have to develop to all the hype and naysayers. You've got to zone out a little bit and believe in the stuff that you're doing and believe that if it's worth something to yourself then maybe it will mean something to someone else too."

Issac has announced a new EP which is due out next month.

The Death Of You & I sees him collaborate with Mura Masa on the EP's penultimate song One Night.

  6. Hope & Glory festival issue statement & go after Tim Booth...published at 15:09 BST 7 August 2017

    Tim Booth of James

The new Liverpool festival have issued a full statement regarding the chaotic scenes that led to it's closure this weekend (scroll down for more on why).

On their own Facebook page, they said: “It is with the deepest regret that the organisers of HOPE & GLORY made the decision to cancel the Sunday of the festival”, the statement claimed.

“We can appreciate how disappointed and angry the festival-goers are as we are feeling the same. To say that the organisers feel anything short of devastated would be a gross understatement. Whilst we accept responsibility for our festival, we believe it is important that we are wholly transparent with the issues that led to our decision”

Liverpool City Council have also issued a statement describing the weekend's scenes as "unexpected and highly unusual".

  9. Bonobo: 'UK is still leading in electronic music'published at 14:51 BST 7 August 2017

    BonoboImage source, Andrew Whitton

Electronic artist Simon Green aka Bonobo says that although electronic music scenes are popping up all over the world, the UK is still where musicians look to for inspiration.

Bonobo headlined the Saturday night at Wilderness festival with some truly spectacular visuals which the DJ and producer's collaborators created by flying camera-carrying drones over Death Valley in California.

Bonobo is originally from Brighton and now resides in the US, but says UK electro-artists are highly regarded on his travels.

"I think a lot of people look to the UK as the sort of innovators of electronic music, there are scenes everywhere, there's some great stuff in Berlin and the US west coast is getting there but I still think the UK is leading in electronic music.

"It's such a rich place for music and I try to keep my ear on the UK and see everything that’s happening.

Bonobo also revealed his expansion plans for Outlier, an event he curated in London last year

"We did Berlin and Paris as well, it's more club facing and the DJ side of what I’m doing but that’s something that, when it calms down a bit next year, from touring, I’m thinking about using the name and doing more stuff.

"Like curating stages at festivals and doing parties all over the place."

After leaving the stage 20 minutes into his Lollapalooza show in Chicago, it seems Liam Gallagher has found his voice again on tour in north America.

  11. Radiohead's Ed O'Brien's advice to Michael Kiwanukapublished at 14:28 BST 7 August 2017

    Kev Geoghegan
    Music News LIVE reporter

Michael Kiwanuka has revealed some sage words of advice offered to him from Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien.

The singer and guitarist took to the stage at Wilderness ahead of Sunday night headliner Grace Jones.

With extended versions of his songs such as Tell Me A Tale and I'm a Black Man in a White World, Michael and his band basked in the early evening sunshine.

Backstage, on board his tourbus, Michael said his summer of festivals had given the opportunity to meet and greet some of his favourite artists and one particular meeting yielded some top advice.

    Ed O'BrienImage source, Getty Images

"I remember getting to meet some of Radiohead, they were playing and I got to meet them just as a fan - I met Jonny Greenwood and had a really nice chat with Ed (picture above).

"[He said] just keep going and writing songs. The main thing is, these bands have been around for 20 or 30 years and been headlining for 20 or 30 years, sometimes you get a bit carried away when you're playing later on the bill or you've got an extra bus or all that cool stuff.

    Quote Message

He was just like, remember that stuff's cool but the most important thing is just to stay interested in making music and making albums and if you can do that and still be making albums then maybe you'll still get to play festivals years from now.

He added: "But all that fun stuff and free stuff, the free sunglasses isn't important.

"You can get distracted by that."

    SigridImage source, Danny North

She may still be just 20-years-old but Norwegian singer Sigrid already has a slate of summer festivals under her best including Latitude, Glastonbury and this weekend's Wilderness festival and is set for a support slot with Oh Wonder.

She pulled in a respectable-sized crowd on Friday to hear songs from her previously released EPs and her big song Don't Kill My Vibe, external.

"I find it as scary doing gigs as doing festival shows," she said after her performance on the main stage. "I love it. Like, I don’t do bungee jumping I go on stage I get the same rush, that’s my adrenaline."

The singer, who lives in Bergen, praised UK festival audiences who she said are "crazier" than those in her native country.

"They let go a bit easier than Norwegians who need to be warmed up, maybe because of the weather," she admitted.

"Ireland is the most crazy, from the first song, they were singing, I think they were really drunk. We don’t drink before a show, we were on water and everyone else was completely drunk. It was fun."

Sigrid insists the secret to surviving a hectic summer of festival shows is "balance".

"It’s a lot of travelling and I think balance is everything, like you would never see me stop eating chocolate for instance, everyone needs chocolate, pizza, hamburger, some red wine sometimes - that's important in life.

"Sometimes I go hiking and sometimes I need sleep. I’m not extreme in any way."

Opening statements could begin tomorrow as US radio DJ David Mueller attempts to sue the US singer, claiming he was falsely accused of groping her at a backstage photo session four years ago.

Mueller contests the 27-year-old superstar should have called the police instead of his bosses, who fired him soon after the alleged incident.

He's seeking up to $3 million in damages, which has caused Swift to countersue, claiming sexual assault.

The case could last two weeks with Taylor hoping to serve "as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts."

A Conservative MP has raised £25,000 in order to host a one-day “Conservative ideas festival” in September.

Norfolk MP George Freeman told the Financial Times that he envisages the event, dubbed 'Tory Glastonbury' on social media over the weekend, as a “cross between Hay-on-Wye and the Latitude festival.”

The plan comes in response to Jeremy Corbyn’s appearance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury this year.

Freeman tweeted: “Why shld the left have all the fun at festivals? We need a cultural revival of grassroots Conservatism.”

Think he's answered his own question there.
