About This Event

CoLaboratory is a brand new series of events at BBC Hoddinott Hall presenting unique concert experiences for music lovers, as BBC NOW invite partners from across the artistic spectrum to collaborate with them, fusing two musical worlds.

In the second CoLaboratory session, BBC NOW welcome virtuoso didgeridoo player William Barton for a musical exploration of traditional Australian music in an orchestral space. Barton became an influential muse for Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe in his final years, and his Earth Cry is a searingly powerful work for combined forces. Other works in this all-Australian programme also reflect on the power of landscape and nature.
