Proms 2018 Proms Scratch Orchestra

As part of our weekend celebrating Bernstein, Marin Alsop conducts an orchestra made up of members of the BBC Concert Orchestra and amateur musicians to play movements from Shostakovich's 5th Symphony at BBC Maida Vale Studios. Come along and hear about her own experience of working with Leonard Bernstein before her performance with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

This event is suitable for musicians aged 16-plus who are comfortable reading music and playing in an ensemble. Parts will be available in advance. You must bring your own instrument unless you play percussion.

This workshop will take place from 15:00 - 16:00.
