Top artists Will Young and the Courteeners perform with the BBC Philharmonic in MediaCityUK, Salford for a unique event in celebration of BBC Music Day, introduced by BBC Radio 5 live’s award winning host Eleanor Oldroyd.
Exploring the common ground between music and sport, the programme will also feature Olympic gold medal-winning diver Chris Mears and Team GB long-jumper and The Voice contestant Jazmin Sawyers who have started musical careers alongside their sporting triumphs.
Jaz is a talented singer as well as one of Team GB’s most promising stars, and Chris is a keen DJ and record producer in addition to his love of synchronised diving.
The programme will feature top class musical performances, conversation and plenty of musical surprises.
