Miguel Harth-Bedoya conducts works by Ravel, Saint-Saëns & Chausson

Ravel orchestrated his fairy-tale suite from a piano-duet original, creating a kaleidoscope of sound which is also equally evident in the thrilling Second Piano Concerto of Saint-Saëns, played by the Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko. In this all French programme, Miguel Harth-Bedoya brings a rare performance of Chausson’s only Symphony, which was premiered under the direction of the composer himself in Paris, 125 years ago, in April 1891.
To be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
