About This Event
After its successful visit to Sage last season, the BBC SSO returns, this time with Yan Pascal Tortelier, for a programme celebrating the ‘Auld Alliance’. Steven Osborne is the soloist in Ravel’s jazz-inspired piano concerto, before Berlioz’s revolutionary programme symphony takes us from an opium-inspired ball, via a march to the scaffold, to a witches’ Sabbath.
The concert will be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 3. It is promoted by Sage Gateshead.
