    1. Kasey, wants to know how behaviour & attendance affects chances of getting on an apprenticeships?

    Good question. Employers will often value attitude higher than qualifications and will therefore want to see evidence of qualities such as reliability and punctuality in an application. Of course, there could be a number of valid reasons for poor attendance which you can explain in an interview. And remember, employers may also ask your school for a reference. So the question you need to ask yourself is, 'what would you want your teacher to say about you if they were asked to provide a reference for you?'

    2. Does learning a foreign language help you with applying?

    It depends on the job you're applying for. If speaking a foreign language is a useful skill for the job role, it can definitely help.

    3. Can you recommend what pathway I should take if I want to go into video game or online video streaming career?

    Search for game company websites to find out more about what they do. Then follow them and ask them questions on social media to find out what steps you need to take. Subjects like Computer Science, Graphic Design and Games Design can be useful, but it all depends on the role you're interested in. You can find out about different career paths on the BBC Careers Page. As for video streaming, follow successful streamers, pick up tips and just get started. Be unique and stream consistently. And use social media to get your name out there.

    5. How do you get a dentistry apprentice and apply for it?

    To become a dentist you will need to go through the traditional full time university route, but you can become a dental nurse or technician via the apprenticeship route. You can find vacancies on the government apprenticeship website , external

    6. What qualifications are compulsory for any apprenticeship?

    It depends on the apprenticeship you're applying for. For some, it's more important that you have the right skills and qualities.

    7. My question is can you do sport apprenticeships and how much is the average wage for someone on apprenticeships?

    There is no upper age limit.

    9. How do you get into a mechanical engineering apprentice

    11. As an apprentice, is your pay the same level as it would be if you were a graduate from University but doing the same job?

    Good question! As an apprentice your starting salary may be lower than a graduate's when you start but by the time you finish there's a strong chance that your salary will be higher than a starting university graduate. Overall it can vary depending on the employer

    12. For theatre is doing theatre makeup a good way to start a makeup career

    Yes, a number of colleges offer courses in theatre makeup. It's also possible to do an apprenticeship as a Hair, Wigs, Makeup and Prosthetics Technician!

    There are a number of horticulture related apprenticeships. For work experience and apprenticeship possibilities speak to your local garden centre or council. To find out the possible options take a look at the apprenticeship standards , external

    14. When is the best time to start an apprenticeship?

    The earliest time you can start an apprenticeship is straight after Year 11 when you've finished your GCSEs. However, you can see vacancies throughout the year. The best time needs to be the right time for you.

    16. How do you do an apprenticeship in business?

    There are a number of apprenticeship opportunities in business. You can identify organisations that you'd like to work for and find out if they offer apprenticeships and you could keep an eye on apprenticeship vacancy websites

    17. Is it hard to get into an apprenticeship/ job in media/production? Is it a stable job to pursue?

    Like many industries, the media industry can be very competitive, but if you can demonstrate that you have the required skills and qualities you will have a strong chance of being offered a role. In terms of stability, this is a question to ask about any role when researching opportunities or during an interview.

    Like any job, it's important to see if you have the right qualifications, skills and qualities required for the role. If so, you'll then need to take your time to prepare a strong application for the job.

    19. I am homeschooled…where do you recommend I start?

    As long as you can demonstrate that you have the qualifications, skills and qualities required for the apprenticeship, you will have the same chance of getting the role as anyone who attended school in the traditional manner

    20. Can you do more than 1 apprenticeships?

    Not at the same time. However, it is possible to progress from a lower level apprenticeship to the next level up afterwards.This could be with the same employer or a different one.

    21. Are there any jobs that you are not allowed to do an apprenticeship or any that I have age restrictions?

    There are a number of possible apprenticeships within the performing arts industry in areas such as lighting, sound and prop making

    23. When you get paid, does it go towards your pension?

    If you’re under the age of 22, you won’t be automatically enrolled into your employer’s workplace pension scheme along with your older colleagues. But if you earn £6,240 or more a year (tax year 2022-23), you have the right to opt in to the scheme.

    It is possible to become a Clinical Associate in Psychology via the apprenticeship route but this is only possible after a full time university degree in Psychology.

    You will normally see more vacancies in business, IT and engineering

    27. How much do I have to pay for an apprenticeship?

    You don't have to pay a thing. Instead, you get paid!
