      John Wilson, whose recent discs of Copland with the BBC Philharmonic were described by Gramophone magazine as ‘outstanding’, returns to the orchestras Salford studio for an American-themed afternoon.

      This afternoon’s programme includes Connotations – a piece commissioned by Leonard Bernstein in 1962 to commemorate the opening of New York’s Philharmonic Hall.
