BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus 2018-19 Season John Butt conducts Bach's B Minor Mass

Last conducted by Colin Davies in its 50th anniversary year, the Mass – the pinnacle of Bach’s achievements in sacred music, its movements composed across an astonishing 25-year span – celebrates the Chorus’s 90th birthday, and represents an exciting fusion of Butt’s own period approach with the modern instruments and large-scale forces of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. They are joined by a stellar line-up of soloists.
