Joe Stilgoe sings up a musical chilli pepper with the rockin' rhythms of the Kings of Jump, Jive and Swing. The sassiest, swingingest show in comes to Radio 2 for a special Friday Night Is Music Night. The concert features the style and swing of Stilgoe with the BBC Big Band and special guests. Joe will be peforming music that inspired him from the 40s and 50s, and shining a light on his heroes who shared a name - Louis Prima, Louis Jordan and Louis Armstrong. Hits include: ’Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby’, ‘Just A Gigolo’, ‘The King of the Swingers’, ‘Jeepers Creepers’, and many more, with Joe’s modern classic originals (We Should Kiss, Totally) thrown in the pot for good measure. A fabulously feel good feast of music, featuring the astonishing BBC Big Band conducted by Chris Egan and special guests. All being recorded for BBC Radio 2’s ‘Friday Night Is Music Night’.
