BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus 2016-17 season Jiří Bělohlávek conducts the BBC Symphony Chorus in Dvořák's Requiem

Jiří Bělohlávek, magnificent interpreter of music from his native Czech Republic, directs Dvořák’s epic Requiem.

Tonight placing the highly acclaimed BBC Symphony Chorus centre-stage, Dvořák’s Requiem was first heard in Birmingham in 1891 at the composer’s creative peak, and contains some of the composer’s most powerful as well as most tender music.
