For one special Christmas evening, the BBC Philharmonic welcomes back its former Principal Flute Richard Davis, now pursuing a successful career as a conductor in Australia, to perform festive favourites and a few surprises. Featuring gospel choirs Inspirational Voices and Kantos and presented by BBC Radio Manchester’s Mike Sweeney and Becky Want, the concert is recorded on the Tuesday before Christmas and takes place at the home of the BBC Philharmonic at MediaCity UK, Salford.
