Concert Information
This concert includes music from two of the most significant Scandinavian composers: the Norwegian Grieg, and the Finnish Sibelius.
The programme will feature a selection of Grieg's incidental music to Ibsen’s play - Peer Gynt, and Sibelius's Second Symphony.
At the centre of the concert is Beethoven's impassioned first piano concerto - the first performance of which was given by the composer himself.
