| This is the Church of England school in Swadlincote around 1953.
The school was quite small and this photo was taken in the school hall.
This is the Christmas Nativity play.
Vernon is at the back behind the girl holding a star - he was playing a snowman as you can see from his thick woolly scarf.
The school was knocked down more than ten years ago now and was replaced with housing, so Vernon is pleased that he still has a record of the school
