| Derbyshire on TV and Film | |
 | | Recognise these? |
| | Derbyshire has had its fair share of appearing on film and TV as it is an extremely appealing area for location shoots. Come on a tour of our county as seen on the screen. (Our thanks to Andy Potter in helping to compile this guide) |
| | | | Peak Practice, Stig of the Dump and Jane Eyre.
Just three productions that have used Derbyshire as its main backdrop.
As a county, Derbyshire is varied and stunning and, through the lens, it is almost irresistible to TV and film producers.
It is, perhaps, ITV's Peak Practice which has done most to put Derbyshire firmly on the TV map and on the top of our production list.
More recently, The League of Gentlemen has also found fame in north Derbyshire, as did the hit Children's BBC series Stig of the Dump in mid Derbyshire.
But let's not forget the big screen. Large sections of Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre were shot in Derbyshire and The Full Monty owes some of its scenes to Derbyshire's mining industry.
Sometimes, you can travel through Derby and Derbyshire without realising you've just passed a location that has found fame on the screen.
And quite often, you'll see scenes on film and TV and not even recognise them as Derbyshire!
Well, now you can, thanks to our guide.
You can navigate the locations in three ways: Either:
