tinyMore than 1,400 people turned out in glorious conditions for the Derby 10k - and more than 600 took part in the fun run.

Derby's 10k and Family Fun Runs have been hailed a success after a total of around 2,000 runners took part in the two events.

In hot, sunny conditions the athletes tackled the two courses which started and finished on Pride Park.

In the 10k, Andy Morgan-Lee from Salford Harriers was first across the line in a time of 31:23. Last year's winner, Kevin Farrow from Derby AC, finished third.

The Ladies' race was won by Claire Woolis from Sutton in Ashfield Harriers in 35:06. Derby's Lisa Palmer, who was the first woman home last year, came third.
