Tickets for TV & radio recordings

1. How can I get tickets to see a particular comedy being recorded?

   All information regarding tickets for most in-house BBC comedies can be found on the BBC Tickets website.

   Sometimes tickets to BBC shows are provided by outside agencies. These include Applause Store, Standing Room Only, TV Recordings, Be On Screen, Lost in TV and Hat Trick.
   The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites.

   We do not have any information regarding tours (e.g. Little Britain or The Mighty Boosh) as these are not associated with the BBC.

2. Does the BBC record shows in front of a live audience?

   Yes - being a member of the audience can be great fun and it's free, too.

3. Are all the shows recorded in London?

   Although the majority are recorded in the London area, you can still see shows being taped in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

4. Do you have tickets for a certain show?

   If tickets are available, they will be listed on one of the sites mentioned on the FAQ front page. We do not have any further information and can't help you get tickets. Sorry!

Tickets for I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue

1. How can I get tickets for ISIHAC?

   Some advice: the programme is now recorded in the larger provincial theatres, rather than a radio studio as used to be the case. In order to fund the cost of theatre hire, travel and accommodation on such a small budget, the programme charges for tickets. This means that tickets for I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue recordings can now only be obtained from the theatre in which the show is being recorded.

   The BBC Ticket Unit no longer has any responsibility for dealing with ISIHAC ticket distribution. In order to find out which theatres ISIHAC is visiting prior to any series, listeners are advised to send the programme's Broadcast Assistant, Kate Cottam, their email address. She will email back with details as soon as he has them.

   There are now over 2,500 people on Kate's mailing list. Even being on this list won't guarantee that you will be able to get a ticket. The show is much loved and tickets for shows in theatres capable of seating as many as 1,500 usually sell out in about a week. It might also be the case that in any one series, there are no venues within a reasonable distance for your home.

   However, many hundreds of people from the mailing list have been able to obtain tickets, and registering an email address with Kate still represents your best chance of attending a recording. We should point out that Kate runs this service unpaid and from the goodness of her own heart, so please be as nice to her as you possibly can.
