1. What is the bbc.co.uk Guide to Comedy?

   The Comedy Guide is a huuuuuuuge archive of information about every (well, nearly every) comedy programme ever broadcast in the UK. It's cross-referenced, and we're always adding video clips of BBC programmes that you can watch.

2. Who writes the Guide?

   The Guide is the online version of a book called the Radio Times Guide to TV Comedy, which is researched and written by Mark Lewisohn. To keep it up-to-date, some articles in the web version for very recent shows are written by the BBC Comedy web team.

3. How do you decide which shows are featured in the Guide?

   Because there is such a vast wealth of material, the Guide generally does not cover these programme formats:

   • Variety and light entertainment
   • Musicals
   • Chat shows
   • Hidden camera and outtakes
   • Quizzes, panel games or shows with a point-scoring element
   
   

4. Where can I report an error in the Guide?

   Please let us know if you spot a factual innaccuracy or technical problem in the Guide.

5. Can I contact someone whose profile is in the Guide using this website?

   Unfortunately we do not have the contact details for crew listed in the Guide unless they are current BBC staff.
