Tower of Celery
Great fun to play and it tastes delicious too!

- 3 heads green celery (you’ll need 18 sticks)
- 280g tub full-fat soft cheese or cream cheese
- 3 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed
Remember – grown ups like you to tell them if you’re cooking with hot or sharp things!
STEPS
SERVES 12, AS A SNACK
Trim the celery and separate into evenly-sized sticks (You won’t need all the celery as the wider or very thin sticks don’t stack as well.) Wash the sticks and drain very well.
Cut the sticks into 18 x 9cm lengths. (You can get extra layers in the stack with even more sticks.)
To make the filling, put the cheese in a bowl and mix with the chives and garlic.
Using a teaspoon, one at a time spread a little of the cheese mixture into the hollow of each of the celery stick and place in a row of four on a stable board.
Top with four more filled sticks of celery, placed in the opposite direction to the first ones. Repeat the layers until all the celery is used.
Play the game by carefully taking out celery sticks, while preventing the tower from toppling for as long as possible.
