They are:

Congrats to all eight writers. :)

I'm determined to be part of the magic eight next year.

Huge congrats to all 8. You may be interested to know that:

Katie Douglas was a brilliant winner in our 5 Writers For Liverpool competition a few years back and his since done various schemes and consequently written for BBC radio, comedy and CBBC.

Christian O'Reilly came through the Tony Doyle Award and came on a residential development scheme with BBC Northern Ireland Drama with a brilliant idea for a TV series.

Kenny Emson has been getting his scripts noticed here for a while and last year was selected as one of the Writersroom 10 writers working with new writing theatres across the UK.

And Kirsty Swain was part of a small group of writers selected out of a competition/scheme I ran with Ideastap, where she had a lovely idea for a sitcom.

Fantastic to see them all going onwards and upwards here at the BBC.
