Kutosis: In session, 7 January 2012, BBC Radio Wales
The first BBC Radio Wales Saturday night session for 2012 went to Cardiff three piece band Kutosis, whose album A Fanatical Love has been a regular on my radio show since it was released by Barely Regal a few months ago.
You can listen again to the show on the BBC iPlayer until 10pm on Saturday 14 January.
It's a blast of fresh, catchy, tuneful, insightful rock with the most infectious energy, and I'm only beginning to unlock the potential of everything they sing about. Playing four live tracks from our BBC studios in Cardiff, they were the perfect band to start the new music line up on a Saturday night, and to start the new musical calendar.
Local photographer Simon Ayre was there to capture the atmosphere in a series of beautiful photos, that make the normally boring and antiquated BBC studios look ripe for rock 'n' roll.
