Three hours of bristling Welsh creativity

Adam Walton

This week's show is now available via the BBC iPlayer. Please listen again any time between now and the start of the next programme.

The show felt like the first 'proper' one I'd done for weeks and weeks. What with a show interrupted by the terrorist attack in Boston, a necessary pre-record due to my having to cover the build up to the Wrexham/Newport play-off final and a shortened show in the aftermath of last week's Eurovision Song Contest, it was the first opportunity I'd had to sit live in studio, for the full three hours, for over a month.

A nation wept with joy, or something like that.

So, this week we have three hours of bristling Welsh creativity, including first time plays for Classic Plastic, Denim Snakes, Eva Watts, Digital Criminals, Orient Machine, Last Vendetta, Ellen Cox, Replaced By Robots and Delyth Mclean.

Please send demos/new releases and gig info as a download link to themysterytour@gmail.com or submit your best tracks via the BBC Introducing Uploader.

Elsewhere in the show, godfather of the Welsh underground - Alan Holmes - reminds us of Spongebrain. And Ben 'Soundhog' Hayes delves back into the early years of the inspirational and maverick Mute record label.

Here are the latest statistics for the show:
