A taste of spring this weekend

It's been nice and dry today with some hazy sunshine lifting temperatures to between 7 and 10 Celsius. The good news is there's plenty more dry weather to come over the weekend too.

Tonight will be generally dry. Some cloud around so conditions are not ideal for spotting the Asteroid 2012 DA14 with binoculars or a telescope. A few mist and fog patches forming too with a slight frost inland.

Less cold in the west with spots of drizzle in Pembrokeshire later in the night.

Tomorrow won't be as nice as today. Fog patches in the south east, the Severn Valley and the Marches in the morning could be dense. Elsewhere, cloudy and damp in parts of the west and north west. During the morning the mist and fog will slowly lift. Still a little drizzle in Snowdonia in the afternoon.

Otherwise dry and it should brighten up in places. Top temperatures around 8 or 9 Celsius with a light to moderate south-easterly breeze.

Tomorrow night will be dry. Some gaps in the cloud with a ground frost most likely in parts of mid Wales and the north.

Sunday will be a dry day. Breezy with a gusty south-easterly wind in the south west. Some low cloud but some bright spells and sunshine as well. The best of the sunshine probably in the north and west and on Anglesey. Highs of 6 to 8 Celsius.

Next week, there's more dry weather to come. Variable cloud, some sunshine and frost and turning colder, especially later in the week with easterly winds. In fact by Thursday wintry showers are forecast including a little snow.

So after a taste of spring today it looks like we haven't seen the last of winter yet.
