We're not quite done with the wet weather yet as there’s more rain forecast for this afternoon and another band of unsettled weather for Friday and Sunday.
Wednesday has started off fairly brightly with just a few showers and light winds but heavier rain will arrive in the southwest from mid to late afternoon today.
As the winds pick up, the rain will spread northeastwards and some heavy pulses are likely.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain anywhere south and east of Ceredigion with 20-40mm of rainfall likely.
Considering how much water is already lying on the ground and with rivers already swollen, this rain is really unwanted.

As a result there is a risk of further surface water flooding tonight and into the early hours of Thursday.
Rain will continue overnight before clearing tomorrow morning to leave a much better afternoon on Thursday.
Thursday night will be cold and clear – ideal for BBC Stargazing, but we'll see a frosty start to Friday morning.
As the weekend approaches another rain band approaches from the west on Friday afternoon but it shouldn't be as heavy as today's rainfall.
