The weather dominated by low pressure again this week. Not the best news for the last week of the school holidays. With the jetstream sitting comfortably across the UK there will be spells of rain but also some sunshine in between the wet weather. It's feeling much cooler than last week too.

Met Office pressure chart for Tuesday 25 August
Tuesday is looking pretty miserable with wet weather spreading up from the south west, some heavy pulses likely. The rain should ease by the afternoon with some hints of brightness before sunset.
Then we go into a day of sunshine and showers on Wednesday. You'll certainly notice the breeze. Highs of 15-20ºC.
We can expect fewer showers for Wales with some sunny spells on Thursday and Friday.
Then we're into the August bank holiday weekend with some good news finally! It looks like pressure will start to rise through the weekend to bring fine weather just in time for the long weekend. Hard to believe it's going to be the first week of autumn next week and the forecast is on the up.
Just in case you’ve forgotten what summer in Wales actually should look like, this lovely tweet from Richard Moult should remind you!
