Capel Curig in Snowdonia recorded a gust of 68mph yesterday and over 30mm of rain.
Thankfully the low pressure that brought the unseasonal weather has now moved away, pressure is rising and that means much drier and calmer conditions over the next few days - good news for the start of Wimbledon and Glastonbury!

Later in the week, weak fronts will move in from Atlantic bringing a little rain and drizzle but amounts of rain will be small. Most of the rain will be on the mountains in the northwest with very little expected in the south and east.
Last week experts from the Met Office got together to discuss Britain's 'unusual' weather patterns and possible reasons why recent summers in the UK have been wetter than average.
I went to visit Terry Walton in Llwynypia to find out what impact the unusual weather is having on his allotment.
This summer has been better than last year so far with more high pressure. The outlook for July is for some fairly typical British summer weather. In other words changeable - some spells of rain or showers at times but also some dry, fine and warm days mixed in as well.
