Changeable sums up the weather for Wales this week. It sounds like a cop-out - but with some warmth, rain, sun, showers (and strong winds at times!) - we're in for another mixed week!
Monday afternoon will see a few spots of drizzle in places. It’ll turn drier and brighter for most with sunny spells developing more widely. South-westerly winds will be especially brisk along the coast, with top temperatures falling between 18°C in Pembrokeshire and 20°C in Wrexham. Monday evening will be largely dry and fine but turning cloudier overnight with some patchy rain arriving from the west. However it’ll stay relatively mild - temperatures holding up between 13°C and 15°C but turning quite blustery overnight.

We’ll see some showery rain early on Tuesday with it becoming heaviest on high ground in the west. There’ll be thicker cloud and a band of mainly patchy rain moving eastwards through the day. It’ll then begin to turn drier and brighter from the west later. However, brisk winds, particularly strong along south west facing coasts, mean we could see some big waves. It’ll feel fresher with temperatures lower than Monday - highs of 16°C in Ceredigion to 18°C at the National Eisteddfod in Meifod, Powys.

Tuesday evening should be largely fine - bar the odd spot of drizzle, but another band of rain will push in from the south west overnight. It’ll be another relatively mild night with temperatures holding up between 12°C and 14°C.
Wednesday will offer plenty of cloud with outbreaks of rain that’s likely to be more persistent in the west. It’ll be drier though with the shelter of high ground in the east, so brighter for border counties. Wednesday’s top temperatures will fall between 17°C and 20°C.
Further rain will push in from the south west late on Wednesday and overnight into Thursday. It should then dry and brighten up through Thursday, so an improving picture and more promising by Thursday afternoon. But with more rain in the forecast for Friday, it's looking like an unsettled week. Some rain, some sun, some unseasonably strong winds at times, but generally feeling a bit warmer than last week.
