It has been 10 years this year of hosting a Welsh show on BBC
Radio One. For the first eight, I co-hosted with Huw Stephens, and now
sadly we broadcast simultaneously on the same station. The aim of the
show has always been to support new Welsh music, but hearing it side by
side with the latest exciting new bands and producers from around the
world.

This two hours a week has strangely come to define everything about me. From the radio came invitations to DJ clubs and festivals and all sorts of launch parties around the world. From the relationships with new bands and DJs came the desire to write about and produce a magazine (now retired), run a record label, promote gigs in Cardiff and London, and live and breathe every aspect of the music industry. Although a busy schedule, I hope it's a reflection that we're doing something right on the radio show that inspires all these other events.
Radio One has been a fantastic beast to work for, from a visit to Buckingham Palace, sitting in the pub with Moyles, to hosting the Reading Festival - it's been one big glamorous, hard working, rock n' roll party, and the hangover will not be nice to wake up to!
That's me in a nutshell, and I hope over the weeks and months we can get to know each other better. I'm really looking forward to reading your comments, good and bad, and feel free to highlight exciting music stories you think I might be missing. Thanks for reading.
