Glastonbury...sun cream & wellies

Derek Brockway

I'm sure its a great laugh but I'm not too keen on large crowds.

However, if you are heading over to Somerset with your campervan or tent, the festival is going to begin with a sunny start today so don't forget your hat and sun cream.

BBC Somerset's 'whacky races event' from 2008:

Drink plenty of water as it's going to be very warm with a fierce sun and dehydration and sun burn will definitely spoil your fun!

Most of Thursday should be dry but I wouldn't rule out a shower later for the afternoon and evening.

For Friday and into the weekend, the weather should be staying warm but turning humid with a risk of heavy and thundery showers.

There's also a high pollen count, so shove a few tissues in your ruck sack.

So in summary - enjoy the music but pack your wellies just in case....There could be a few mud wrestling competitions taking place over the weekend.

Derek
