Mild misty mornings - Autumn is in full swing!

Well it's been a beautiful autumn so far with a lot of dry and bright weather, it's great to see the sunshine after a rather dull August. It looks like high pressure is set to stay over the coming days, keeping the weather mostly dry but not necessarily warm. Here is the pressure chart showing the high firmly in control by Monday.

We end the working week on a dry but cloudy note with the best of the brightness across Powys and the north east. There is the risk of a few showers for Cardigan Bay, Gwynedd and Anglesey. The temperatures should reach a high of 17 °C so not bad considering the average for October is 13°C.

As for the weekend, despite some brightness we will notice a little bit of a change as the weather will feel cooler with a bit more cloud. This is due to an easterly breeze which will take the edge off the temperatures. The best news is that it should stay dry.

If you are heading to the Fan zone in Cardiff to watch the Wales v Australia match take an extra layer to battle the breeze. The temperatures should be around 13-15°C across Wales.

Sunday looks very similar to Saturday. Next week, the winds will be lighter and we'll see the return of our beautiful autumnal mist and fog in the mornings.
