It's mostly about new albums this week. I could dredge up some facetious hyperbole for you, if you like, along the lines of these albums are "astonishing", or "awesome", or imply that they will change your lives in some undetermined way, but hype would do them a disservice.
Trwbador's eponymous debut album, Georgia Ruth's forthcoming Week Of Pines, Totem Terror's REPEAT PLAY TORRENT RAR are unique artistic visions, aural communications from brains and hearts that won't tolerate the mundane. They don't need to change the world. If they can change the way we feel for their duration, bring some light to the drab, levitate us in a way that science can only dream of, well that's better than all the hyperbole in all the worlds in all the histories of time stitched together, ever.
Ah.
I did it anyway, didn't I?
Oh, and there is the see-saw, playground psych of Seazoo - who somehow remind me of De La Soul's Three Feet High and Rising, despite the fact that there isn't a single hip hop element to their music. This is a very very good thing indeed.
We have a smattering of debut plays for Perfect Blue, Gareth Pearson, Noisemilk, Y Rhacs and Crwban.
Please shove music my way via a download link to: themysterytour@gmail.com - or funnelled through the BBC Introducing Uploader.
Elsewhere in the 'show', Alan Holmes brings in a recording he made of The Miaow Beasts - and Ben Hayes euologises Remo Four.
Thank you for reading. Thank you even more for listening. Thank you even more than that for sending your music.
