Philip Gross wins TS Eliot poetry prize

Philip Gross, a professor of creative writing at the University of Glamorgan, has won the 2009 TS Eliot Poetry Prize for his collection The Water Table.



Gross, originally from Cornwall, now lives in Penarth close to the shore of the Bristol Channel, which the poems in his award-winning work reflect.
