I spent most of my weekend in one of my favourite places on the planet – Portmeirion in Gwynedd – for Festival No. 6.
I'll gather my many half-remembered thoughts and visions in the form a review in due course (no, really I will!).
This week's show came live from the main field. For the fist hour, My Bloody Valentine keep us company from 30 yards away with an unceasing sonic onslaught that made having your head stuck in a jet engine sound like a peaceful alternative.
We have live performances from Yr Ods, TG Elias, The Wave Pictures and Heymoonshaker – who I'd DJd for (well, in the same venue as, to be technically correct) the night before and then persuaded to come and play for us the following night, as they were also performing at Festival No. 6.
The story is less complicated than the sentence. And they do a remarkable session for us.
I speak to Sweet Baboo and Islet, concurrently, which makes for some fine confusion – especially as none of us could hear what anyone was saying on account of My Bloody Valentine's aural Agent Orange.
Our aim was to bring you to the festival without you having to leave the warmth and un-gale-like conditions in your house.
I hope you enjoy the experience.
