Devilishly good: 'lost' John Osborne play set to open

The Devil Inside Him predates Osborne's Look Back In Anger by six years, written by the playwright when he was just 18 years old. It was thought lost until it was recently unearthed in the archive of the Lord Chamberlain.

The play tells the story of Huw Prosser (Rheon), a young poet growing up in a deeply conservative Welsh village. It is set in a boarding house in that village, and sits somewhere between the world of 1950s melodrama and the ground-breaking 'angry young man' writing for which Osborne became famous.
