Firstly, well done to Beverley and the Proms in the Park team for a fantastic night on Saturday. Swansea sounded sparkling on the radio. As it looks on the big screen in fact. Mal Pope’s film Jack to a King has been a labour of love but truly worth it. Go see it if you can.
All roads lead to Scotland this week – both the high ones and the low ones – with Thursday’s referendum on independence. Our job in this is simple: tell the story and interpret what it will mean for Wales whether it’s a yes or a no.

Scottish and Welsh flags
Good Morning Wales this week comes live from Wales, England and Scotland exploring how our relationship with the rest of the UK will change whatever happens on Thursday. Felicity (who is obviously taking the low road) is live from Llanymynech on the Powys-Shropshire border this morning; she’s in Newcastle Upon Tyne tomorrow and Edinburgh on both Wednesday and Friday. Good Morning Wales gets underway at 5am on Friday morning to capture the final stages of the results live.
Tonight, Wales’ four party leaders appear on a special edition of The Wales Reportat 8.30pm. We’re simulcasting the debate with our colleagues on BBC One Wales. Then straight afterwards Bethan Rhys Roberts will take your calls in a Wales Report Phone-In at 9pm. Chris Needs starts at the slightly later time of 10pm.
Earlier at 6.30pm, Gilbert John takes us on a Return to Gleision, three years to the day since the mining disaster in Cilybebyll. In the programme, Gilbert interviews the men who led the desperate effort to save the miners.
Llandudno’s finest, Catfish and the Bottlemen, are the Radio Wales Artist of the Week this week. Their new single Cocoon has been backed by Radio 1’s Zane Lowe amongst others. They’ll be joining Tom Price, who’s in for Eleri on Wednesday. On Thursday, Tom speaks to both Cerys Matthews and Al Murray.
Jason Mohammad speaks to the Beast of Bolsover, Dennis Skinner, about his memoirs on Wednesday. I’m not sure whether Dennis Skinner ever saw Billy Elliott but I’m he’d approve: Wynne speaks to the cast of the stage-show on Friday’s Big Welsh Weekend. Meanwhile Pam Ayres and Richard Parks are Roy Noble’s guests on Sunday.
