As Wales look forward to Euro 2016 warm-ups against Northern Ireland and Ukraine, BBC Wales football correspondent Rob Phillips turned to social media to help compile a list of the nation’s Top 10 international friendlies.
Had trouble picking my best so-called friendlies… So I threw it open to Wales fans who follow me on my @robphillipshere Twitter account.
Not always the best results or even the best games - but all mean something special to someone…
1. Wales 1 Germany 0, May 14, 2002
Probably the most popular memory. Recently retired Rob Earnshaw scored on his Wales debut to earn a stunning win at the Millennium Stadium. He had a hero’s reception as he was replaced in the last minute by a player returning from injury - Chris Coleman, who did not touch the ball!!
@pesdaboi ‘’Top night capped off by meeting Mickey Thomas in the pub after the game!’’

2. Wales 4, Norway 1. Nov 12, 2011.
Wonderful Wales performance at the Cardiff City Stadium with goals for Craig Bellamy, Gareth Bale and Sam Vokes (2). Full of hope for future, we thought under Gary Speed. Yet within the month, Welsh football (and the game worldwide) had been plunged into mourning over the loss of Speed.
@markpitman1: ''Final high before a devastating low.''
3. Wales 0, Costa Rica 1. February 29, 2012.
The Gary Speed Memorial game. An astonishingly emotional night for all connected with Welsh football, at the Cardiff City Stadium. A night when nothing but the remembrance of a Welsh football giant actually mattered.
@Dai_LT: ''Most memorable but the whole day was a blur.''
4. Scotland 9, Wales 0. March 23, 1878.
Still a record defeat for Wales. John Ferguson scored a hat trick, there was even a goal for Peter Campbell II - imagine how good Peter Campbell I must have been. This suggestion came from former Cardiff City defender Kevin McNaughton.
@KevMcnaughton ''Was at the game, remember it well.''
5. Leyton Orient 2, Wales 1. May 1996.
If you thought number 4 was bad… Then manager Bobby Gould had Ryan Giggs at his disposal for a friendly at Brisbane Road, just weeks after they had finished 89th in the Football League. John Robinson put Wales ahead but the Os grabbed a memorable win in the dying minutes.
@chasingthedragon: ‘’Made me realise that nothing, for the rest of my life, could ever be worse.’’
6. Wales 4, Scotland 1. February 18, 2004.
Rob Earnshaw again stole the headlines with an historic treble. Earnie is the only player to have scored hat tricks in the Premier League, Divisions 1, 2 and 3, the FA Cup, League Cup and an international match.
@albymarch_alan "Don't see too many of those.''

7. Wales 1, Brazil 1. June 12, 1983.
Okay, so Wales had to wait another eight years before they recorded their one and only win over the Samba boys. But this one still stands out to many. Brian Flynn - all 5' 4" of him - headed Wales ahead, before Paulo Isadoro equalised for a team which included Socrates and Careca.
@sicknote68: Brian Flynn heading Wales ahead against the best team in the world. Dreamland

8. Wales 0, Jamaica 0. March 25, 1998.
The World Cup-bound Reggae Boys arrived at an aromatic Ninian Park, bringing football flair and joyous fans who witnessed Craig Bellamy's debut. A few days earlier they'd played QPR in a friendly at Loftus Road - the only game I've ever watched accompanied by the melodious offerings of reggae DJ Ranking Miss P broadcasting live in front of me!
9. Wales 3, Iceland 1. March 5, 2014.
Arguably the first glimpse of the Wales we saw in the Euros and Gareth Bale scored one of THE great Wales goals. A searing run from inside his own half, he even went off the sidelines and back on again before finishing with aplomb. He later did similar in the Copa Del Rey final for Real Madrid - but we'd seen it all before. Superman!
@Owenb22_brian: Team on fire and you could sense the belief

And my choice… Even though I was not there:
10. Trinidad and Tobago 1, Wales 2. May 25, 2006.
Memorable - not because it was the only game Wales have played against T and T. Not because Rob Earnshaw (him again) scored twice. Not because it was played in Graz, Austria. Memorable because - in the 55th minute - manager John Toshack replaced David Vaughan with Gareth Bale. At the age of 16 years and 315 days, Bale became Wales' youngest ever international - and possibly the greatest!
