Couples of Ambridge: The Aldridges, Grundys, Snells

Brian and Jennifer are marking their forty years of marriage in true Aldridge-style by inviting half the county to a fabulous soiree at Home Farm. This got us thinking about the couples in Ambridge and which might be the most beloved pairing. 

While Jennifer and Brian bask in their achievement of making it to a ruby wedding anniversary, some other exemplary couples spring to mind. 

On Sunday, Robert brought Lynda breakfast in bed for her birthday. Whatever you think of Lynda, it’s hard to remain unaffected by the efforts of heart-melter Robert Snell, and the affection he shows for his Lyndy.

Another couple with a strong connection is Eddie and Clarrie Grundy. The core of the extended Grundy family, these two help each other hold it together. And when things do fall apart, they're there for one another.

At Eddie's 65th birthday bash his wayward brother Alf coveted what Eddie has. He told him it wasn't about clothes or money but family. "You got your boys, their missus, your grandkids. But most of all you got Clarrie. She’s one in a million, Eddie."
