So another fabulous, fun-packed and feisty Strictly Show has ended with very contrasting fortunes for some of our dazzling dancers.

Frankie and Kevin kicked off proceedings with a fantastic Cha Cha to Carly Rae Jepson’s Call Me Maybe. They received straight eights from the judges with Craig praising Frankie’s “expressive hands”.
Remarkably their high score of 32 was topped, not once, but twice.
Penultimate pair Jake and Janette performed an energetic; rock ‘n’ roll-inspired Jive that had the audience on their feet. Bruno described Jake as being “pumped-up like a prizefighter”. Darcy awarded them the first nine of the night, to go with eights from the other judges, and a grand total of 33.
But they were matched by Caroline and Pasha’s Quickstep to ‘We Go Together’ from Grease, that closed the show in spectacular style. Len this time dishing out the nine.

Unfortunately the judges weren’t so generous for some of the couples, with Tim and Natalie’s Paso Doble coming in for particular criticism. Bruno jibed that Tim was “looked less raging bull and more mildly irritated goat.” They could only muster a measly 19.
But the worst score of the night was given to poor Scott and Joanne. Craig declared that Scott “was the exception to the rule that anyone can learn to dance” and Bruno describing their American Smooth as an “American nightmare”. They could only a muster a paltry 15, the lowest score of the series, with Craig awarding a score of just two.
