EastEnders Bobby Brazier is our twelfth celebrity contestant for Strictly 2023!

Bobby is a 20-year-old British Model, and Actor, best known for his role as Freddie Slater in BBC's flagship soap opera EastEnders.

In his modelling career Bobby has graced the runway for world renowned fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week, sat front row alongside Lewis Hamilton at London Fashion Week and starred on the cover of acclaimed style magazine, ‘Man About Town’. Across socials, the Gen-Z star regularly shares life updates and shows off his spiritual side as a passionate advocate for positive mental health and well-being.

Bobby said: “I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly line up, I can’t wait to start training like a professional dancer and adding a few moves to my locker. I'm looking forward to performing in-front of everyone, it's going to be so much fun!”

The news was revealed this morning on BBC Breakfast. Bobby joins Amanda Abbington, Angela Rippon, Layton Williams, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon, Zara McDermott, Adam Thomas, Nikita Kanda, Ellie Leach and Jody Cundy in our line-up.     Good morning everyone just looking in to see if there has been any more revelations. 😀 I am passed caring how famous they are I was never a Bill Bailey fan however voted for him, never heard of Rose 🌹 but grew to admire her greatly or Louis Smith the list is endless.

    I hope Sue Pollard comes on IT2 this year because her taste in clothes is exquisite.........Subtle shades of quiet colours. She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn

    I imagine he will do very well even though he doesn't appear to have much dance experience. Sad that his mother never got to see him grow up.

    Lovely day to be shooting exteriors vt for the launch show with the dancers. When that extended section starts before coming into the studio and you think this is it now and Christmas not far. Strictly is so needed to bridge that gap so you don't despair about winter coming I think, at least for me! Can't wait anyway!
    This cast looks very good. I'm going to get fizz to pop and celebrate on the launch show. If I'm not joining you in the blog it's because of internet that's got to be a sorted. I hope kind reporter at least leaves this up so that message stays. Back to the watering can 💃

    The rumours were Charlene white Brenda Edwards and les Dennis. Are these the last three? A sports person would need to be retired or out of season.

    Goodnight hopefully the final reveals will be pleasing to everyone, and no one will feel the need to say Who?.when they can clearly read the name above.
    Les Dennis was too much mentioned to not be in it I guess.

    I wonder how many will be revealed today? It should be the ‘big reveal’ or perhaps tomorrow. I’m not sure that Les Denis is necessarily the most well known celebrity though, isn’t he a little behind the times now?

    I can’t help reflect on how tarnished the word “celebrity” has become. Also the fact that Adam Thomas can’t resist any reality show whatsoever. No show without Punch I guess. However I’m sure it will be an entertaining as it usually is.

    One thing you can never tell from a photo is height, so it's hard to guess pairs. I had never heard of Tyler West and didn't know he was so tall but knew Tony was so expected he would get nadiya anyway. I think most of my guesses were wrong but I think I guessed hamza with jowita.
    I suppose 3 reveals today is the lot and we'll finish up tomorrow, then have 6 weeks until launch day to enjoy the last bit of summer. 31 tomorrow apparently!

    This young man has the look of a Diaghilev ballet dancer, just right for L'apres midi d'un Faune! Given that there are already contestants with experience in other dance disciplines, it'll be interesting to see if his model elegance carries over to the dance floor. Maybe one to watch, maybe not, who knows?

    The one,if there actually is one,who masters their routines to the extent that their routines are pure enjoyment will be hard to beat.

    Another three very interesting reveals today. So far this SCD 2023, there has not been one yet when have thought "not sure", "Oops", "Oh dear 🙅‍♀️". This might still happen with the final reveals.
    I predict two tomorrow and the final one on Friday.

    6 weeks until the live shows I think
    I believe the launch show was moved last year because of the Queen's death. So maybe it'll be back to two weeks before week one. On the 9th September. One month today? Or the 16th.
