Scott leaves Strictly after facing Alison Hammond and partner Aljaz Skorjanec in the dreaded dance off following Saturday’s Halloween spectacular.

Both couples performed their routines again; Scott and Joanne danced their Foxtrot to The Addams Family Theme and Alison and Aljaz performed their American Smooth to ‘Wuthering Heights’ by Kate Bush in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.

After both couples had danced a second time, the Judges delivered their verdicts, with Craig, Bruno and Darcey all agreeing to save Team Ali and Ali.

The three votes meant that Alison and Aljaz were saved and will return to dance again next week, however Head Judge Len Goodman said he did not agree with his fellow judges: “Had it been left to me, I thought they were both so much fun. They were both dancing the foxtrot so I went for the section which was the foxtrot and in that case, it would have been Scott that I would have saved.”

After the show Scott was in an upbeat mood: “It’s something that I never thought I would do and I’m so glad that I said yes to it because it’s been the most fun I’ve ever had!”

And of partner Joanne, he said: “We’ve become friends so it’s really sweet. It doesn’t really end for me here because I’ll still see her.”
