Get ready for Week One of Strictly 2023

Strictly Come Dancing is back with a bang and 15 new celebrities are ready to take the Ballroom. So get ready to kick off your Saturday night in style with a Samba to Touch, a Cha Cha Cha to Uptown Girl and a Paso Doble to Smells Like Teen Spirit, can you feel the excitement in the air?

Tonight there's no vote, so once they've given their all on the dance floor our 15 fabulous couples can kick back and relax.     There was a collective, country-wide gasp as Angela Rippon…. Who is 78 years old, stretched her leg to the ceiling! Literally jaw dropping! Brilliant!

    Way better than I expected from Nigel. He has been hiding that under a tree somewhere! Brilliant, great costume too

    So we have the usual comments on the blog sadly . Unfair to have trained dancers, don't like the outfits, songs are rubbish, judges are overmarking or undermarking.
    I honestly don't care, had a rotten year so just grateful for SCD to brighten up my life. Will be watching every week and voting regardless.
