Strictly comes to an end for Jayde and Karen

Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer's Strictly journey has been cut short as they became the fourth couple to leave the competition, following last night's BBC 100 special.

The pair scored 28 for their Charleston to The Ballad Of Barry and Freda (Let’s Do It) by Victoria Wood, but found themselves in the Dance Off for the first time following the public vote. Jayde and Karen faced Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, who performed a Couple's Choice routine to the Grange Hill theme tune.

Once both couples had danced again, it was over to the Judges to seal their fate. When making his decision, Judge Craig Revel Horwood said: “Well, two very different dances, but based on technical ability alone I would like to save Molly and Carlos.”

The full panel of Judges were in agreement, unanimously saving Molly and Carlos, bringing Jayde and Karen's time on the show to an end.

When asked by Tess about her time on the show, Jayde said: “This has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with you [Karen] and learning about so much that will go into my own stuff, in my own work. You are one of the most gifted people I have ever worked with Karen."

Karen was then asked if she had any words for her partner, adding: “It’s been a roller-coaster of emotions for us, and you are so special, so powerful, so emotional, and I’ve loved every second. Thank you Jayde."

This power pair have brought us so many fabulous moments this year and their absence will definitely be felt. But there is one last opportunity to see them together, on Monday night's It Takes Two at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
