Leaderboard: Week Nine - Blackpool Special

Tonight was the night all of our Strictly stars wanted to finish top of the leaderboard, strutting their stuff out on the iconic dance floor of the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. However, only one couple could take the coveted top spot, and that honour went to Alexandra and Gorka for their old school Quickstep that left the Judges speechless. Well, almost.

Bruno Tonioli said: "You did something that could come out of classic Hollywood movie, it was that good," before whipping out his 10 paddle for the couple. Gemma and Aljaž trailed just one point behind them with a total of 38, bagging one of their first 10s of the whole series from Head Judge Shirley, who said their dance made her feel "quite emotional".

At the lower end of the leaderboard, Susan and Kevin finished at the bottom with a score of 25 after Craig said their approach was "was a little too soft and wafty", while Jonnie and Oti landed just one mark ahead despite wowing the crowds with their futuristic Tango.
