As the competition begins to heat up, we’re taking you to the Strictly silver screen with Movie Week!

Get ready to watch our couples bring some onscreen classics to life, as they take on hits from some of the biggest blockbusters, including The Sound of Music, Men in Black, Cabaret, and many more.

Our couples have been putting in the work, to get into character and put on award-winning performances for your vote, so let’s cut to what they’ll be performing to…

    I’ve never watched Eastenders, happened to switch channels half way through tonight’s episode featuring our Bobby and I got hooked what a wonderful young actor he is, he is shaping up to be a good dancer as well, a bright future is ahead for this boy I think.

      We were watching a recorded programme and came out of it just in time to catch a glimpse of him. Have no idea what was going on but I think he was crying. Totally different from Dianne’s partner!

    Annabel is so lovely. Remember cheering her on during her playing days. (Tennis is my other obsession). She seems happy about doing the waltz. Classic music should help. I'm sure she will be elegant and graceful and will look amazing if they model her dress on the little black dress from the film.

    I love movie week and there are lots to look forward to here. Especially looking forward to Amanda and Gio’s Rumba, Nigel and Katya’s jive and Bobby and Dianne’s samba. I think we will see Krisnan’s fun personally come out in the Charleston, I’m just loving Lauren.

    My Granddaughter's love Encanto so I’ve watched it a few times looking forward to that with Ellie .
    Really hoping Amanda smashes the Rumba .
    Angela and Carlos could be epic she’s brilliant so could be great for her a Charleston.
    Looking forward to Bobby as well.

    Layton appears from comments tonight on ITT too be getting a load of trolling. That can never be condoned,.But I feel he will come up against the old Strictly bugbear of while winning any dance off he is in, he will always suffer in the public vote due to the trained dancer /accomplished musicals star perception of the public which has stopped a number of people winning including Ashley Roberts (hired as a dancer for Pussy Cat Dolls), Faye Tozer, Alexandra Burke and Danny Mack among others. You have to blame the producers over cast selection for that. I have to say his performances have been great, and Saturday's quickstep with Nikita had touches of Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor about it.

      Indeed. I notice that Nigel who has lots of West End stage dancing experience is never mentioned in this context🤔🤔🙄. And Amanda... As an actress must have had at least movement training🤷🏼‍♀️
      I don't care. This training is different from any other and celebs have more or less ability. That's all. 😔

    My favourite music this week is Married Life from Up, and I'm really hoping that Jowita can come up with a lovely American Smooth that will enable Jody to enjoy leading her around the dancefloor. Fingers crossed.

    Theme week rumbas have the story-telling built into them, so a bit easier to "sell" than a normal week rumba? No doubt her acting background will serve Amanda well, she also seems to have the core strength and control of movement to deliver on the technical front.

    I'm very excited to see Bobby&Dianne as R&J, I loved the Baz Luhrmann movie back in the day. 🤩😻 Hope Bobby's long legs won't prove to much of an obstacle to the Samba bounce.

    The VW to There are Worse Things from Grease could be fantastic, excited to see what Nikita comes up with for choreography. The other dance/music combos should make for solid dances: lights-camera-action 😃

      I am also one who has no objections as to how Layton presents himself, as he is just being himself, which to me is how it should be. Why pretend to be something you're not.
      Layton should be judged on his SCD performances only, and nothing more.

    I hope Leyton an Nikita knock the socks off the V Waltz if folks are being unkind. His spins are phenomenal.
    Angela S made me laugh on Saturday about being punished by Carlos, it must be the Catholic in her, we are constantly aware of our failures and repercussions. I think they will be extremely grand. I like Movies Week.
    Buckie, sorry, will do some research on Batman an Del and Rodney, was it a sit com?

    Fratton park beckons so haven't got a lot of time ,Don't know some of the music but I hope it's the Adam West Batman music , Moon River is a great walz tune and it seems early for couples choice . I think Annabel and Johannes look to be getting on and I'm expecting some good things from them . I'm not sure about a theme night so early on , but some celebs do better performing as a character .

    Just when I thought there was no risk of an animal costume I get to the Paso Doble....still Zara could wear a bin bag and look gorgeous.

    Think Eddie and Karen will have the coolest outfits of the night. I do worry for Adam, firstly a jive, second a potentially ridiculous outfit.

    Krisnan and Nikita may struggle with their dances others seem ok. Nice to have ballroom three ballroom dances. Not keen on CC myself don’t get it.

    I am still getting to know most of these Celebs So I treat them all the same and look forward to getting to know them better and judging each dance on it's merits It looks like we are going to get a real treat on Saturday with the different dances and costumes I just hope some are not hindered by their costumes So we can see the steps etc Good luck to all on Saturday I am looking forward to Thursday with Vicki Gill and then Saturdays show I know all but two of the films being used Which only makes me more excited to see them all dance
